I am so grateful that I was referred to Dr. Hoepfner after sustaining a severe shoulder injury. I did not want to rush into surgery and instead of pushing me Dr Hoepfner gave me a time frame in which to decide. That time frame gave me the opportunity to see if my shoulder could heal on it's own and it did. I can't say enough about how much that meant to me. I had a good recovery of the use of my arm and shoulder after physical therapy. There are certain injuries where surgery is absolutely necessary, though, and I don't want to imply that surgeries can always be avoided.

Dr. Hoepfner, has done 2 separate surgeries on my right hand. The 1st one was to transfer a tendon from the 1st 2 fingers to the last 2 fingers which were completely useless. Then he replaced 4 knuckles on my right hand which were very damaged due to my severe RA. In my opinion he is an artist who has given me back the ability to use my right hand and lead a full life.

I went to Dr. Hoefner with the problem of losing feeling in my thumb, middle and ring finger. He said that surgery was the best option for the ulnar nerve and carpel tunnel . He did a wonderful job on the surgery and within six months I have all the feeling back in my fingers. He was always on time and very professional. Did not have to wait long for the appointments.

Dr Hoephner is a wonderful doctor. I am very pleased with his knowledge, and my experience. He has performed three surgeries on my wrist, to help it get back to normal, following a fall and subsequent break of the scaphoid. He performed a vascular bone graft, that saved the bone, and allowed it to heal normally.

Dr. Hoepfner had the task of putting my badly broken right wrist, and left elbow back together after I fell in September. Today is January 14, and I am completely healed. His surgical precision is second to none. I would trust him with anyone or anything. He knows what he’s doing.

I was treated for Bilateral Distal Bicep Rupture in both my arms. My results have been fantastic and have no limitations what so ever. Dr. Hoepfner's bedside manner was excellent. He seemed genuinely concerned about my injury and my path to recovery. I never felt rushed during an appointment. He answered every question I had and made me feel confident that I picked the right surgeon. His PA Leigha Carr was just as good and very helpful.

Dr. Hoepfner did my second carpal tunnel and pulley release surgery. I won't comment on the first one, but needless to say, I went to a different doctor for the second. He was excellent. There never was a problem with being left in the office waiting forever. Also, his surgery was excellent and he was very much up on the most current techniques. I had no issues with recovery and within weeks my hand was almost as good as new. I would highly recommend him.

While it wasn't pleasant to have to deal with a fractured wrist, I was VERY pleased with the professional assistance provided by Dr. Hoepfner and Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. He performed surgery to repair my distal radius fracture. His demeanor was calm and caring. He and his team put me at ease. They explained all the details of the surgery and recovery, and provided all the post-surgical support I needed. I highly recommend Dr. Hoepfner.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Huoepfner. His bedside manner speaks volumes in his character. He explained in detail all he was going to have to do to fix my elbow. I would recommend him a million times over.

Dr Hopfner takes his time with you and listens to all of your concerns. His PA is also excellent. They speak to you like you are family. Dr Hoepfner did an excellent job on my thumb surgery. I am glad I did it. After 2 1/2 months, I already have full mobility.
